Planning for your portrait session:
Creativity, and the success of your senior portrait session favor the prepared mind.
How to look your BEST....
Avoid clothing with distracting patterns. Darker tones will be more slimming and accentuate your face.
Solid colors, colors that compliment your skin and eye color are recommended for close-ups. Earth tones are suggested for outdoor photos. Comfortable clothing is essential for relaxed posing.
Coordinate your ensembles with appropriate shoes, belts and jewelry to match your outfits.
Avoid drastic changes to your hairstyle for the session. If you don't like your hair, you won't like your portraits.
Girls....
Keep your make-up simple. Additional touchups can be applied as needed.
Bring 4-5 tops to choose from for close-ups. A sweater or blouse with simple neckline will work. 3/4 length or long sleeves are preferred. Depending on your session always bring extra outfits to help the photographer with your wardrobe.
Guys....
Clean-shaven is a must. Beards and mustaches should be trimmed to your liking. Suit, sweater, and sport coat will work for close-ups.
Guys and Girls.....
Don't fret about blemishes. All images are retouched before leaving the studio. There is a special charge for braces removal. Clothing must be clean and pressed.
To make your portraits SPECIAL.....
Your senior year is special, so remember it in a special way by including the things and items that made your highschool years memorable. Musical instruments, hats, class ring and/or memorable jewelry, letter jacket, sporting equipment, and anything that will enhance the creation of your portrait should be considered. Your best friend? Pets? Car? Bring them all!
IMPORTANT: You are welcome to bring along your favorite music CD to charge your creative juices!
